Vintage
is a harmonic trio, and the group was formed in the Fall of 2001. The
group members are: Joyce Novicky Martinez, who is the alto of
the group and plays percussion instruments, Santiago Martinez,
who is the keyboard player and tenor in the group, and Roxanne Pardi,
who is the soprano in the group and also plays percussion instruments.
All three group members met at their Church, St. Bonaventure, in Concord.
Santiago Martinez has a degree in music and teaches piano lessons. He
has been a member of several bands for more than 15 years, and is very
active in music with the Church community. Joyce Novicky Martinez has
been a member of the Church choir for more than 8 years and also has
been active with her musical talents. She has performed with the Pleasanton
Playhouse and also the Diablo Light Orchestra Company. Roxanne Pardi
has a degree in music and teaches both piano and voice lessons. She
most recently was musical director of the Pittsburg Community Theater's
Guys and Dolls and also performed in the play. In addition to
the Pittsburg Community Theater, Roxanne has also performed with the
Diablo Light Orchestra Company, and is a two time Shellie Nominee. Both
Roxanne and Joyce performed in "DLOC's" production of Sweeney
Todd at the Dean Lesher Theater.
Since
the group's formation, they have performed at weddings, private company
events, and church functions. Their unique style can accommodate most
